PRESS RELEASE.
More than 1,100 female microentrepreneurs from across the country—who are also clients of Fundación delamujer—submitted their success stories for the 11th edition of the Fundación delamujer Award, “Recognition of Leadership Among Female Microentrepreneurs.” Over the past 11 years, we have received a total of 15,833 applications across our 204 offices, located in the 29 departments where the organization operates.
Each year, Fundación delamujer awards a total of 54 million pesos to nine recipients of the Fundación delamujer Award, recognizing their work as entrepreneurs and women leaders in their homes and communities, and reaffirming its commitment to the financial, economic, and social inclusion of women across the country.
Discover the success stories of women from Belén de Umbría, Bogotá, La Virginia, Cáqueza, Popayán, Bucaramanga, Cartagena, Lebrija, and Valledupar, who will be honored for their leadership, resilience, dedication, and courage in transforming their personal and family lives, bringing about meaningful change and positive impacts through their businesses and life stories.
For the eleventh consecutive year, a group of women will see their dreams come true, thanks to the support provided by Fundación delamujer through the Fundación delamujer Award for “Recognition of Women Entrepreneurs in Microenterprises.” The award highlights the most outstanding examples based on the social impact of their businesses and life stories, celebrating these women as role models and driving forces in society.
The awards ceremony took place last Friday, March 14, at 9:30 a.m. in the Main Hall of the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce, located at Cra 20 #35-35, and was broadcast live on the Facebook page: FundacióndelamujerOficial and the YouTube channel: Fundacióndelamujer.
The Entrepreneur, Visionary, and Diamond categories will be recognized with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Fidelina Awards, respectively. Depending on the category, the winners will share a prize pool of 54 million pesos to be invested in strengthening their businesses. In addition, they will receive support for their business branding, training through financial education workshops, access to a Digital Marketing certification in partnership with SENATIC, and training to increase their sales through our marketplace www.laplazamorada.com—all to continue growing their businesses.
“Through the Fundación delamujer Award, we are recognizing extraordinary women who possess exceptional entrepreneurial and leadership skills and who, through hard work and discipline, have positively transformed their lives with Fundación delamujer. For 11 consecutive years, we have been honoring their achievements, their courage, their resilience, and above all, their innovative spirit in overcoming adversity; on this occasion, we are providing not only strategic training opportunities but also, in each edition, financial incentives to strengthen their businesses and, of course, a wonderful experience that includes transportation from their home cities and visits to the city’s most iconic landmarks,” said Teresa Eugenia Prada González, executive president of Fundación delamujer.
